Introducing the ChOPP Coordinator and Team

Hello! We are the CHOPP Team (Chichester District Older People's Partnership) and would like to introduce you to individual team members and share some information about each of us and our roles.

As a team, we have been busy organising and developing the Chichester District Older People's Partnership, bringing together local groups and organisations that provide services for older people. We will continue to work with these organisations to discover and address any gaps in services, identify needs and develop local neighbourhood responses.  Please use this link (Gap Analysis) to read the report of the current findings that will be used to guide our team in our work.

Doreen Barry, Senior Neighbourhood Network Coordinator  Doreen Barry

Doreen joined the team from her last post with West Sussex County Council as a Lifelong Learning Facilitator. During her work she was able to develop learning opportunities for vulnerable groups across the Chichester and Arun areas and has been able to support a variety of projects with partners. These have included the introduction of e-learning and mobile phone courses to support older people in everyday life. Doreen has also lectured in Health and Social Care following a long career working as a Senior Practitioner in Social Service departments in the London Borough of Newham and Bedfordshire County Council.

Kate Keays, who has been our Publicity Officer for almost 2 years, has now left the team to join Work Aid, a project of The Aldingbourne Trust.
